NFC Brand Tag
A small tag with a second purpose.
The IBEX NFC Brand Tag is a small leather studio tag with a rewritable NFC chip inside.
When included with an order, the tag is initially programmed to connect to ibexhkg.com. You can leave it as it is, or rewrite the NFC link to give the tag a new purpose — connecting it to a portfolio, social profile, personal page, photo album, or another public URL.
The NFC Brand Tag is not a standard inclusion with every IBEX piece and is not sold separately.
How to update your tag
01 · Download NFC Tools
Download the free NFC Tools app from the App Store or Google Play.

02 · Open the app and select “Write”
Choose:
Write → Add a record → URL / URI
03 · Enter your link
Paste the URL you would like the tag to open, then confirm.
04 · Write to the tag
Hold the NFC area of your phone close to the tag until the app confirms that writing is complete.
The NFC reading position varies between phone models, so you may need to move your phone slightly to locate the tag.
05 · Test your new link
Scan the tag again to make sure the new destination opens correctly.
A few things to know
— When supplied, the tag is programmed with ibexhkg.com.
— The NFC link can be rewritten whenever you wish.
— Writing a new link replaces the previous one.
— No battery or charging is required.
— A compatible NFC-enabled smartphone is required.
— NFC reading position varies between phone models.

No. You can leave the tag connected to IBEX for as long as you like.
